About Us
Founded in 1980, Montexport Limited, a Montrade Group Company, is a privately held company, headquartered in Lisbon. The Company specializes in international trade, distribution and supply chain management in the following business fields: Chemicals, Resins, Metals and Environment.
Montexport operates as a global organization, through partnership and representation agreements with some of the world's leading manufacturers of chemicals, resins, and metals.
Our mission is to manage a supply chain of excellence that allows the distribution of a wide list of products, at the right price and at the right moment, through the group's global network across about 20 offices and distribution centers in over 12 economies in Asia, Europe, America and Africa.
Wherever Montexport operates, compliance and adherence to all rules aimed at health, safety and environmental protection are always the first priority. Year I Event
1980 Montexport Limited foundation and establishment of the roots of export and import business of Rosin and Chemicals.
1981 Pioneer steps have been taken, in order to increase trade with the Asian market in general and with China in particular.
1982 Montexport was the first and only Portuguese company to be present in the first Industrial Exhibition of Macau. It ..............represented important national manufacturers in the field of marble, glazed wall tile and toilet fixtures and accessories, ............. tapestries, silverware, wines and canned foods.
1984 Montexport was the leading promoter of the creation of the "Portuguese Center in Hong Kong and Macau". And, in that ..............same year Montrade was mandated by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group to provide building materials for the Mandarin ..............Hotel in Macao, Hong Kong and Bangkok.
1987 Montexport begins exporting Portuguese and Spanish wines to the People's Republic of China - at those days dealing ..............with a very "closed" market - and promoting the branding of certain brands.
1990 With the increment of the chemicals business, Montexport expands its operations to new markets such as India, Thailand, ..............USA and Brazil.
2003 Montexport started to represent for the European Market one of the largest semi - state Chinese group which comprises ..............14 chemical plants.
2006 Montexport started to represent for the European Market other large semi - state Chinese group which produces rosin.
2010 Becomes a licensed exporter of plastic waste from Europe to the Asian market.
2011 Montexport started to represent for the Iberian Peninsula and PALOP, a Chinese manufacturer of aluminum.

Through the group's growing global network across about 20 offices and distribution centers in over 12 economies, our chemicals business unit manages a supply chain of excellence to distribute a wide range of raw materials, for all industries.
Montexport represents, exclusively, for the European and South America market, since 2005, one of the largest semi - state Chinese groups (which comprises 14 plants and an annual turnover of USD $ 650 million / year) and, since 2008, an Indian Private Group (which comprises 5 plants and an annual turnover of USD $ 180 million / year).

Montexport represents, exclusively, for the European market since 2011, a semi - state Chinese group, which integrates three factories producing aluminum, stainless steel and tinplate.
The factories, which are duly certified by ISO 9001:2000,are composed by 2,200 workers, its capital is around USD 46 million and its turnover was USD 920 million in 2010.
We supply the non-ferrous metals (aluminum, alloy and pure; stainless steel and tinplate) in various dimensions, directly from the manufacturer to our customers, with on time delivery. Our products are supplied directly from China, in full containers, and for the control of logistics and quality of all orders for the Iberian and South American market in 2006 and 2008, respectively, Montexport established - in Shenzhen , the group's corporate headquarters and in Hong - Kong through Montexport (China) Ltd.

In a world of increasing pressure on finite resources, historic resource management strategies of single-use, bury or burn are no longer tenable. Montexport, after a thorough consideration of the needs, trends and opportunities in the recycling business, has developed a new business model for a sustainable future by combining a global business network, and its experience of more than 30 years in international trade.
The core business of waste management is the program designed to acquire, collect and transport the plastic scrap along with Operators of Municipal Solid Waste and Operators of Urban Solid Waste in European space, with special focus in Portugal and Spain and subsequent distribution to several accredited recyclers in China.
Our approach to recycling is based on a belief that recycling is no longer an option: it is the way to the future.
